    Student motivation significantly impacts educational outcomes, with many students disengaged and struggling to complete assignments. Research from Carnegie Mellon University suggests that ineffective reward structures contribute to this issue. This project seeks to bridge the motivational gap by integrating technology—using interactive apps and gamification techniques like points and badges—to create an engaging learning environment. Real-time feedback and peer collaboration aim to increase student connection and investment in their learning, boosting both motivation and academic performance while fostering a culture of achievement crucial for future success.

  • PURPOSE

    According to Noeme Rone and affiliates, students often lose motivation due to unclear lessons, lack of confidence, and dissatisfaction with material, leading to disengagement. To address this, we developed QuMo—an online platform designed to combat lapses in focus and enhance organization and motivation. QuMo offers study guides, practice quizzes, and scheduling tools to boost performance and engagement. By fostering consistent study habits, reducing stress, and using a reward system to build confidence, QuMo aims to transform students' academic journeys, promoting a more engaged, motivated generation of learners.

    QuMo is a website designed to motivate academically struggling students, starting with market research to address their needs. Development will prioritize features like quiz generation, a badge system, and personalized scheduling, alongside content creation, including quizzes and motivational messages. The team includes a Leader for coordination, Software Developers for technical tasks, and Designers for a user-friendly interface. This structured approach targets a 3-5 week timeline for building, testing, and launching the platform, ultimately delivering a valuable resource to enhance student motivation and engagement.
